Devoted to songs, ditties, and dancing
It’s no coincidence that people often burst into song when they’re happy. And their feet won’t stay still. They’re feeling the music bubbling up from the heart. Grand operas and musicals have been written to express the joyful bursting forth in song.
Music is a binkle in sound—like laughter
A binkle arises when we sense an energy burst-the zizz in an experience. Music that compels us to respond feels the same way. You don’t just hear it with your ears, but with your whole body. You vibrate with it-down to the toes, down to your very cells.
That’s why music, much more than words (which tend to get hung up in by-ways of the brain) has the power to touch us so deeply. We resonate to its pulsation and meaning. It speaks to us through the ebbing and flowing vibrations. It liberates us from our self-imposed limitations.
Music speaks a language we all know
Built into each of us is the “decoder ring” that reads and translates music’s harmonic messages. It speaks to us-sings to us in a way we totally understand. And that tone is as soothing to our spirit as the mother’s cooing to her baby.
We feel the flow of music with the heart. It stirs up emotions, long denied. It kindles recollections that make us ache with longing. It has the power to align us to our vision and dreams, even when we feel they have abandoned us.
Oh no, it might be more accurate to say that we’ve abandoned them. But in the stirring of the authentic core of who we are, it’s found to be very much alive. Once rekindled, the music provides the march, taking you stride by stride toward your destiny.
