Pay attention to the feelings
Whatever your answer might be, it’s much too short a list, too narrow a frame. Those are the obvious places, the ones that you don’t miss. Naming them is too easy (and you probably just skim the surface even there). There are many, many more.

Joy “hides” in the midst of life

What about all the other places you haven’t noticed? Or those that call for some effort on your part? You’re surrounded by untapped possibilities.
A person attuned to the joy to be had will always be able to find some.

Another way to find more joy is looking for the numerous ways you tune it out. Like binkles (its closest relation), joy is there to be found and enjoyed just by taking the time to notice what’s happening around you with “fresh eyes.”

Feeling stressed is evidence of resistance to joy. That’s when the Joy Resistance is most evident. And doses of joy and binkles most needed.

Keep a Joy Journal (Joy-nal)

Bothering to take note of joyful signs has the wonderful effect of bringing you more of them. Whether it’s more in quantity, quality, or frequency is for you to decide. But at the least, you’ll discover that there’s much more joy available to you than you’ve bothered to notice.

Couple it with a binkle journal, to note down what brings you binkles and energy. At some point, it’s hard to tell binkles and joy apart—it just feels good. As they gain more prominence, your life is more vibrant, and burdens seem somewhat lighter.

I’d tell you how they add more hours to your day, but you won’t believe it until it happens to you. A point to ponder - What’s the use of having more time if the kind and quality of the experiences you have aren’t any better? Aren’t healthier?
