If Real People Ran the Bank
II
(a spoof for the heart)
How does unlimited bank withdrawals sound?
Not bad. Not bad at all
And its not a pipe dream. Unlimited withdrawals
for all comers is a policy extended to anyone who visits Joyful Banker,
http://www.joyfulbanker.com
The Joyful Banker is a parody of all things financialdishing out whimsy and
fun in every way possible. Its dedicated to the true, but less-than-widespread,
notion that people are much more valuable than money. And ones true wealth is
found through caring and sharing yourself (thats how you get genuine interest, too).
This one-of-a-kind, whimsical institution is devoted to turning the way people
think about money on its head. Whats truly worthwhile? Whats even better than
money in the bank? A visit to this eccentric fool service non-bank punctures most
never-questioned truths about wealth. Dare you risk it?
Joyful Banker priorities are quirky
- It doesnt use real money (but theres an unlimited supply of what it uses instead)
- It doesnt make loans
- It doesnt care how much funny munny you takeor what you do with it
(though the idea is to share it)
- It doesnt think money or things can ever be as worthwhile as people
- Its sloppy with figures since it doesnt expect to be paid back and only uses
one denominationa zillion bucks
- Its always open for joywhenever the heart is beating (forever redefining
bankers hours)
Joyful Banker is unlike any financial institution youve ever encountered. But
its not a genuine bank or real moneyjust a spoof of one. That said, the Comptroller
of the Currency (U.S. Treasury) doesnt consider its financial documents and bogus
bucks to be counterfeit money. (Thats true.) Be assured that no real money was
bent, folded, stapled, or mutilated in creating the bank.
Is this any way to run a bank?!!
It certainly is! Joyful Banker operates in a whole new waybased on joy and binkles
(creating energy from connecting with people). The Banker delivers a high level
of frivel (wordplay), giggle, and absurdity.
But theres a plan behind itto puncture whats serious and soul-deadening with
light-hearted jocularity.
New-fangled money and fresh ways to relate to
it
Joyful Banker dishes out two types of moneyjoy bucks and binkle bucks. But they
only come in one denominationa zillion bucks (which is short of infinite). It
doesnt matter how much you spend, since theres always plenty more.
Instead of you having to deposit into the bank,
Joyful Banker deposits into you
(and what youre passionate about). The only accurate way to count such receipts
is through your gut feelings-fun, joy, light-hearted abandon, a surge of energy.
Deposit and Withdrawal Policy
- Unlimited withdrawalshelp yourself, and take enough to share
- Deposit joy and energy into others and their dreamsthat creates genuine interest
- Joy is infinitely elasticable to stretch to include an unlimited number of
people and experiences (so theres always enough)
- Checks dont bounce there, because it disapproves of red ink or red faces
- The Banker doesnt make loans or expect paybackssince it doesnt
keep accounts
(or any other records, either)
- The funny munny (joy bucks and binkle bucks) are simply a reminder to care
and share yourselfbestow something truly infinite: a cheerful heart
- Joy bucks arent legal tenderbut they make you feel tender
Fun trumps finances
Theres even a guarantee: Its the funnest financial institution in the world.
Joy taken daily (hourly, even better) abolishes the glums, boredom, or loneliness.
Surely, thats as good as money in the bank!
